Subscribe

When I hear this word, 2 things come to my mind.

One of them is a great band, at least for me, named Subscribe. They’re going to have a concert this year on the festival called Fishing on Orfű, which I’ve mentioned couple of posts ago. Obviously I’m going to be there, in the first row.

The other one has a similar meaning to the verb sign. Usually you can read this type of call on different video sharing sites, picture sharing sites or wherever you can write a comment. I don’t force you to subscribe this post, I’ll be just happy if you do so. I’m not sure whether I’ll continue this blog or not, so let’s say this is your last chance to subscribe.

P.S. If you don’t subscribe I’ll be happy again, because I know that you'd cry so bitterly that you couldn’t see the letters on the keyboard so you wouldn't be able to type. And it’d absolutely make me content if you felt sorry for the discontinuation of my blog. Byez.

Tomorrowtomorrowtomorrow

Guess what… we’re going to shop tomorrow! My best firend and I have already planned everything from morning till night. I’m really looking forward to it!

I will start with an hour spanish lesson from 10am, she might be sleeping at home during that time. Around 11.30 she’s going to come to our place, we’re going to take my dog for a walk and then fun starts. We’ll take a bus and go into the city centre, do some window-shopping and buy items which we really want and can afford. We’ll spend our time with such meaningless activities while we’re going to chat whole day. When we arrive home we’ll have dinner and watch a few movies together.

By the way I’m not sure whether the main point tomorrow will be the shopping itself. I think I’m rather looking forward to spend the day with my best friend. I can’t even remember when was the last time we did so. I hope everything’s going to be great.

Saturday afternoon

Yesterday I accompanied Dorina to a special school. It was special, because it was for dogs somewhere in Pécs-Somogy.

Dorina has a beautiful German shepherd called Miló. I have never been to a dog school before, because my parents always told me that if we care about our dog and pay attention to him, we will be able to teach him for example to sit down or lie down etc. So it was very interesting for me to see many dogs together doing tasks like walking next to the owner slowly, then faster, after that sitting and finally lying down. I had to sit on a bench for 2 hours but I couldn't say that I was bored.

Colours of the Rainbow

It is said that April is the most whimsical month in the year and this seems to be true. I don’t like the cold and wind which appeared yesterday, because it can absolutely destroy my happiness. When the sun shines (it’s true that it was shining today, but the weather was still cold) and it's warm outside I feel comfortable and content. I miss this feeling and I hope that this period won’t last long.

I try to compensate the dumpy mood with colours. For example on my nails. Actually it doesn’t make my mood better, but I try to convince myself and I have never regretted it yet. I love when my nails are green like fresh grass, blue like the sky above us or high red or pink.

Fortune costs £1

My mother’s boss won the price called The Doctor of the Year, or something like this. Mom and Dr Kalmár are kind of friends, moreover his wife was my English Teacher in primary school and we (dad, mom and me) knew their sons as well.

Dr Kalmár was invited to a conference, which was held in Szeged, and he told my mom that she could come if she wanted. She is the head of a department at the Clinics of Pécs, so she ’legally’ had the chance to accompany his boss (by legally I mean that she wasn't invited because she has influential friends.)

They arrived, went into the conference room and sat down onto the chairs. Mom saw a coin (it was 5 forints) on the floor, picked it up and gave it to the boss as a ’lucky coin’. He smiled and told my mom that he would accept it if he could give her a pound in return for the coin. After the conference he gave it to my mom and when she arrived home, she gave it to me in order to bring luck with my exams.

Another use of a curtain

On another seminar, our task was to choose a Human Right and make a presentation in connection with the topic. I have chosen the right to marriage and family, because in my opinion it is an issue that have been surrounded us since the dawn of civilization.

In the PowerPoint the most interesting parts were the pictures and not my speech. Talking about family and marriage in general is a difficult task, especially if we want to catch the others’ attention. So I decided to search for wedding photos from different cultures, including China, India, Africa and so on, which could make my presentation more exciting (at least I hope so). I did the same with the topic about family.

The purpose of this post wasn’t about introducing my ways of making a presentation. This task just came to my mind, when I decided to put a picture onto the blog of my dog. He is like a real bride covering himself with the curtain in the living room. He does this quite often, because during this procedure the material slowly slips from his head, through his back, finishing at his bottom. It can be seen that it tickles all parts of his body and he likes it.

Obviously not

Firstly I gave this title to my blog because I suffered from the lack of ideas and we (my friends and I) use this term quite often and it just came to my mind after some brainstorming. When one of us asks a yes or no question we might answer like ’Obviously not!’ usually with a serious poker face, but actually just for fun. Let me show you and example. ’Can you give me a glass of water, please?’ asks my friend, when he/she is at our flat. ’Obviously not…’ I answer, but at the same time I have already taken a glass out of the cupboard and started to fill it with some water. I didn’t mean with this statement that I am not going to give him/her drink, I just wanted to emphasize that it was a silly request. Of course I’ll fulfill this wish. It’s obvious and he/she knows it as well, but doesn’t want to be rude.

Secondly there are so many uncomprehending people who come to me with requests in order to do favours, even if I have told them before that I don’t have the time for that. I have my own problems too. If I helped someone twice, three times or more in the past then they always find me to solve their problems again. For instance, I lent relatively much money to one of my acquaintances one or two months ago, but he hasn’t payed it back yet. The day before yesterday he appeared and wanted me to give him more money and I replied ’Obviously not!’. In this situation, the statement has a completely different meaning than in the previous one, because now I don't want to be disturbed with such stupid things.

Finally to tell you the truth I really like this statement. I can express many things with it, I just have to use the stress properly. One of my friends invented this and the others (including me) started to use it as well. It became one of our best creation and we are proud of it.

Chocolate

I published a quiz in which I asked my mates about their favourite chocolate brand. I was interested in this, because one of my beloved food is chocolate and in my opinion I’m not the only one. I listed just a few brands, so there might have been students who couldn’t vote, because their favourite was not among the listed ones.
The result is always interesting (at least for me), because you don’t know which one is going to be the winner. Except if you know so well your acquaintances that you already know what brand they love.
Twix, Snickers, Bounty, Milka, and any noname-but-delicious chocolate was mentioned as answers. I chose the first 3 ones because if I buy some chocolate at the buffet then I always eat one of these. But on the other hand my top favourite is Milka with whole hazelnut, so that’s why I had to put it there as well. A few weeks ago a friend of mine offered me some noname milk chocolate with strawberry filling and I have to acknowledge that it really was delicious. So this type became the last one, because I thought that the same could have happened to anyone.
Finally Bounty won with 5 votes and both Snickers and Milka became the second with 1-1 vote. Bounty has some delicate coconut filling and the reason for its first place may be that many people like this kind of fruit, especially the way is harmonizes with milk chocolate. I cannot say whether I like it because of this harmony. I think I like it simply because of its taste.

P.S. Thank you for the poll!

(b)Eat it

It's a pity that the picture is a bit blurred but the important things are clear enough. This was one of the best nights of my life.

My best friend came out to me during the World Cup (you know I'm not a football fan, but c'mon, it was the World Cup!) last summer, because we decided to watch one of the matches together. I filled the waterpipe and lit it, while Szasza opened a packet of salted chrisps and brought it in the room with some ice-cream and two tins of energy drink. I don't remember whether the match was exciting or not, but I don't even care. We had a great time and this is what really counts.

By the way the match was funny, but not because of the players. My dad was watching it on the computer in the room next to us, but the online commentary was a bit late - 2 or 3 seconds - compared to the TV. So when we were shouting like 'YEAAAAAHH, GOAAAAL!' then he shouted over to shup up, because there hadn't been any goal on his screen yet.

Be happy!

He is my favourite cousin from the small ones, if it’s possible to say this. (I don’t want to be unethical.) Ah stupid.. I don’t even know the exact name of my relation to him. Balkó is my cousin’s son, so he and my child (how far future…) will be second cousins. He was a cute little boy just sleeping and eating. But he has grown up. Well, not totally, but hey! He’ll be 8 in April!

I fell in love with him, not literally, when once I was at my cousin’s around 2 years ago. Her mother told me that he had said something in connection with me the day before. Of course I was curious about it and asked what was that. ’Can I tell her?’ – asked her mother from him, but he didn’t answer just ran quickly to her. He hugged her leg hiding his face and nodded shyly. ’He said you are a very nice and beautiful girl.’ I just stood there and couldn’t move. I think I have never ever been touched so deeply before. I don’t care that it’s not true (or is it?... don’t answer). He loves me and I don’t need anything else.

News story

Yesterday in the basement of a block of flats in the suburbs of Pécs some dog excrement was found. The offender has not turned up yet, but the more serious question is why was the formation left there? The residents joined their force and collectively cleaned up the basement this afternoon. Somebody even stuck a paper on the front door warning the future-perpetrators, in order to avoid such stinky 'crimes'.

FOO

'Ohmygod-ohmygod-ohmygod..' - whispered my best friend with full of enthusiasm and excitement after we came out of the shop where he had bought the tickets - '.. I can't believe that we are going to be there!'
'We definitely will!'- I responded.
After the first shock of realizing that we would have almost the biggest fun in our lives, we were just laughing and trying to shout down the rain, because it was pouring that day.

Fishing on Orfű is a festival organised each year basically for youngsters, but they are not the only who attend. We have never been to this particular event, so we decided to have a try. Concerts from many types of bands and singers are in the centre all day, starting from afternoon, finishing around midnight or even later.

One of our favourite bands, so-called Esti Kornél (playing an alternative kind of music), came on the scene one night. It was held in a little tent, because only a few people know that this group really exists on Earth. We didn't care that there was no crowd, we were jumping, singing, shouting, whistling etc. whatever is usual on concerts.

I enjoy (almost) every concert I attend, but this one was such a good experience that I'm sure I'll go this year again.

Daddy Cool

2008, Croatia
We are just relaxing, doing nothing. I love this after those many hours of training through these years. The sun is shining, the coffee is done, mom is lying on the bed reading her favourite book and daddy is sleeping on the balcony with his feet on the parapet. (Of course he would say he was just sunbathing with closed eyes.)
We have been in Drvenik several times since my childhood. We always went to the same apartment with the same people. The owner and her family have already become the friends of us. This village is simply lovely. Old men are sitting on benches watching the sea, children are playing in the water, lovers are just waiting to the sunset. Two things are common among Croatian people, as I realized. They are suntanned and they love fish. Especially on weekends, a group of friends just bring one's BBQ out to the streets and start to grill fish. The same is done by fishermen or the owners of the apartments as well. I don't like fish, I can't even bear its smell, but this vision is priceless.

To begin with an ending

The last few sentences from my favourite movie :

"So I guess this is where I tell you what I learned - my conclusion, right? Well, my conclusion is: Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it. Derek says it's always good to end a paper with a quote. He says someone else has already said it best. So if you can't top it, steal from them and go out strong. So I picked a guy I thought you'd like. 'We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.' " by Danny Vinyard.
